Midi skirt has been a trend for quite some time now and I was determined to figure out just how to wear it. Midi-skirt has a perfect ladylike persona and combines the positives from both the mini and maxi silhouettes. A midi skirt may give a 90’s look or a straight-off-runway punk feel depending on the print and design of the skirt.
When I attended the launch of apparel line “One” by Chumbak, I was intrigued by this fun printed midi-skirt that boasts of drawing inspiration by stylizing nature or man-made objects. Contrary to popular belief, exaggerated patterns are easy to carry off and bring out a flirty yet a vintage personality simultaneously. I have combined this skirt with a pastel colored shirt with metal embellishments on the collar (if you like complete punk in your attire, then feel free to combine it with a matching patterned shirt or tee, it’s absolutely in fashion right now). To complete the look I wore a turtle neck-necklace bought from a flee market (Royal Blue), junk bracelets, a white clutch and nude heels. Just the feel of this entire look made me joyful and delighted to attend the event.
