Born For The Next Generation | Le2

When I think of the gadgets of the future, I think of holograms and virtual reality. I think of multi-functional devices that will completely take control of our lives.

With LeEco launching its next generation of superphones, this future does not seem very far away. Can these devices teleport you into outer space? – No, but they can definitely assist you see and feel it. One thing is for certain, that technology is closely embedded in our day-to-day lives than ever before. Realizing this, LeEco launched Le2 and LeMax 2 with fully integrated ecosystems available via memberships on, the first in India to provide content ecosystems on mobile devices.

You will be wondering, why I, a fashion enthusiast is talking about technology. Well for starters I am a science enthusiast. And secondly, LeEco team was gracious enough to invite me to their mega launch event and present me with a Le 2, yey!

I have been using their Le 2 for about a week now and its super-fast, quite obviously as it has a Qualcom Snapdragon 652 and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow (first budget phone in India to have this). Le 2 instantly nicks a point over many of its competitors which still have the older Android Lollipop. Now, I am a technology dwarf so it took me a bit of time of transfer all my files from my Xiomi mi 4i to this phone, more because the latter is slow and hangs. So you can imagine the joy I felt when I could open multiple apps in a flash of a second in my new Le2. For some reason I also feel that the webpages load faster on and the touch is very responsive on this phone. Well, it could be because Le2 is born for the next generation and can handle my insistent commands.

Le2 comes with a 5.5 inch display and doesn’t feel too big for my tiny hands, it is quite comfortable and light to hold. The sensors are responsive to left or right hand holding and shift the lock-screen to assist in single-hand operations. The rear 16 megapixel camera and front 8 megapixel camera make this device an alternative to my everyday camera needs, and as a fashion blogger I need to click snaps everywhere I go, so a good camera is a major pro. Below is my #OOTD shot on Le2, without filters. I just hoped that the saturation of colors captured were a little more.

Using CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) and world’s first Type-C CDLA headphones, LeEco claims that this is the way music should be heard and I agree. I definitely felt punchy lows and crystal-clear highs, hi-fi audio and for the first time enjoyed Hindi Blues. This USB Type C audio port is also the port for charging. The battery lasts for more than a day with regular use of texting, calling and social apps .

Innovation is affordable and accessible to all of us now. The flash sale will start tomorrow at 11 AM and you can book your unit now to get the CDLA headphone and 1 year LeEco membership worth INR 1999/- and INR 4900 /- free on and Flipkart till stocks last.

Disclaimer – these are my views, a technology dwarf. To know complete specs and performance do read a tech gurus website.
