Five Selfie Tips from Anusha Dandekar
I was a part of the recent ASUS #Divasmeet in Bangalore where the phone manufacturer showcased its latest phones ASUS Zenfone series. Now I am not tech-blogger but I can say that their Zenfone selfie will surely win the hearts on many girls – this phone has 13 mega-pixel cameras, front-flash, selfie panorama, it has beautification mode along with many other features that are designed keeping a girl’s life in mind. The company claims that this phone is as reliable as one’s boyfriend and in some cases may be even more.
The highlight of the event was when the selfies-queen herself came to host the event – Anusha Dandekar. Anusha has been my style icon since I was a child and I was so excited to be able to meet her in-person. She looked angelic in a beige peplum top with ferrari-red jeggings and nude pumps.
Anusha gave some wonderful tips on how to capture perfect selfies. And when a celebrity speaks we listen –
1) Use blender brush to blend in foundation or concealer. Anusha uses a tone darker than her shade t look tan, she loves the dusky skin-tone.
2) A mineralizer is your best-friend as it gives a natural glow to your skin. Probably the secret to the radiance of everyone who is on TV
3) A lot of times dark-circles are caused due to Kajal we use. Anusha instructed that everyone who uses kajal must remove it before sleeping to avoid the black kohl from staining the skin. Anusha herself doesn’t use kajal most of the times, just a brush of eye-liner does the trick for her.
4) Getting the right angle is vital when clicking selfies. Anusha always takes an angle from the top cutting her forehead. This gives an illusion of length and thinness to her face and body ( see the angle and how to hold the phone in above picture)
5) Always keep it stylish.
For this event I decided to go all formal with just a hint of glamorous golden. I am wearing black tights with a blue crop top and navy-blue blazer and golden Oxford shoes. To complete the look I had chosen minimal accessories – a golden ring and a very-small pendant. If you adapt this look, remember to tie your hair back into a high-pony to get the edgy-chic look.
I met a fellow blogger who was my partner in crime and we didn’t leave a moment to interact with Anusha – Anusha asked us to click the prefect selfie and here it is (though we didn’t chop our heads of, she still complimented us)
